Our Mission

Helping people with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities lead fulfilling lives.

Every person deserves quality professional services, family support, social connections and the opportunity to realize his or her unique potential.

The Miriam Foundation is dedicated to ensuring that greater insight and new research will improve the quality of life for all those affected with autism spectrum disorders (ASDs) and intellectual disabilities (IDs). We are committed to raising and investing funds and providing the leadership required to:

  • Support and create clinical intervention, diagnostic, educational resources, vocational and respite
  • Create programs and promote inclusion through social and recreational activities, work placements and residential services for children and adults living with ASDs and IDs.
  • Offer education and training to professionals, paraprofessionals and family members.
  • Foster specialized research focusing on improving diagnosis and developing new treatments and interventions
