55th ANNUAL MIRIAM FOUNDATION LORI BLACK MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT
55th ANNUAL MIRIAM FOUNDATION LORI BLACK MEMORIAL GOLF TOURNAMENT MONDAY AUGUST 19TH, 2019 - HILLSDALE GOLF AND COUNTRY CLUB
On behalf of the Miriam Foundation, we would like to express our thanks for your steadfast support. Your participation in the Annual Miriam Foundation Lori Black Memorial Golf Tournament is indicative of the ongoing need to foster services and awareness for Autism Spectrum Disorders and Intellectual Disabilities.
For the 55th year in a row, Hillsdale Golf & Country Club hosted the tournament with Mr. Herbert Black leading the charge as Honorary Chairman, and longtime club member, Norman Bercovitch, acting as Chairman. Despite the early morning downpour, the skies cleared, and the guests enjoyed a beautiful day on the course. Mosé Persico from CTV Montreal was on site throughout the day to highlight the event and acted as emcee for the cocktail dinatoire.
Upon arrival, the guests were greeted by Miriam Foundation staff and presented with a gift, generously donated from Stokes. Golfers were able to avail themselves of a trendy haircut by the great crew from L’Atelier Gents led by owner, Claudia Dee. As always, Hillsdale prepared a beautiful breakfast in the clubhouse, featuring herring and schnapps, a nod to the founders of the tournament and a fabulous BBQ on the course. Taste Italy graciously served their infamous pizza from their Forneteca pizza oven throughout the day.
We are fortunate to have the unwavering support from VIP donors AIM, Karen & Richard Benzakein, Yannick Blanchard, BloombergSen Investment Partners, Centre du Camion Gamache, Les Constructions CMI Inc., EY, FEDNAV Co., Future Electronics Inc., Robert Gemmell, Liebherr Canada Ltd., National Steel Car, Psycho Bunny, Quebec Stevedoring Ltd., The Judy & Michael Steinhardt Foundation, and TD Securities.
To keep the golfers on their game, friendly competitions were had on the course and our longstanding partners from Gravel Auto Group and Decarie Motors sent over fabulous cars for the Hole in Ones, along with Dassault Aviation providing the prizes for the competition winners.
The combined efforts of those who participated as golfers, donors and sponsors enabled a record setting total of $560,000! All the funds raised from the tournament are directed to the subsidization of the Foundation’s much-needed early-intervention therapy programs.
PBL Photography joined us this year to capture the day and Ryan did an outstanding job. To view and download the photos, please visit: https://pblphotography.pixieset.com/miriamfoundationgolftournament-1/. When prompted, please enter the following password: miriamgolf2019
