REPORTS TO:       Clinical Manager

Job Summary 

The Clinical Team Leader works directly under the Clinical Manager and provides caseload supervision to their team of assigned caseloads and staff. The Clinical Team Leader ensures the successful service delivery for client case load.  The Clinical Team Leader will direct a primary focus on supporting the clinical manager in carrying out assigned clinical duties as well as some administrative duties. The following are the core responsibilities related to management of the senior instructors and instructors:

Roles and Responsibilities 

Administrative Responsibilities

  • Participate and attend manager meetings with the Clinical Coordinator and Miriam Foundation, as needed.
  • Communicate and share information with administrative staff
  • Assist in managing client and staff issues following the organizations policies and make decisions using professional judgement.
  • Assist in hiring of new instructors and senior instructors
  • Meet with Clinical manager to discuss client issues and staff issues/concerns
  • Assist Clinical Manager in completing payroll (Nethris) and scheduling
  • Assist Clinical Manager in communicating with all clients to provide up-to-date information on policies and procedures with the support of the clinical team leader
  • Sends weekly attendance to accounting team
  • Completes and oversees break and lunch schedules for clients
  • Assists in stage/student placements and orientation
  • Responds appropriately to feedback from Clinical Manager
  • May be designated by Clinical Manager to temporarily perform their duties in case of an absence
  • Always conduct self in accordance their professional and ethical standard
  • Additional roles and responsibilities will be assigned throughout the duration of employment

Clinical Responsibilities

  • Providing supervision to all potential supervisees working under your supervision as assigned by the Clinical Manager, as well as ongoing supervision (as per the specific guidelines).
  • Conduct first evaluation and complete first individual intervention plan for new clients, as needed.
  • Train staff to conduct developmental and behavioral assessments
  • Supervise instructors and senior instructors to implement goals as specified and monitor their use of behavior analytic and ESDM strategies and provide feedback accordingly
  • Supervise and support senior instructors in managing their caseloads (programming, analysis of data, program modification, intervention development
  • Assist in conducting client intake and calls including intake assessments to identify client priorities and appropriate assessment procedures
  • Supervise and monitor all the clients under your caseload and ensure high quality of service
  • Monitor and edit all reports written by staff under your supervision to make sure they are conceptually systematic and ethical
  • Communicate with external professionals in collaboration for the clients, as needed
  • Attend parent meetings, as needed
  • Consult with parents for specific issues (e.g. behavioral or developmental), as needed
  • Provide clinical trainings to new staff
  • Monitor instructor’s performance and assist in completing performance evaluations
  • Assist senior instructors in parent coaching, consultation and observation as needed
  • Assist in analyzing protective measures for clients and staff as well as effectiveness of these measures
  • Assist in preparing and conducting weekly clinical meetings with the Clinical Team Leader and Senior instructors, as well as weekly team meetings with all instructors
  • Attend leadership trainings and conferences in order to stay up to date with the latest research

Qualifications and Educational Requirements 

  • 3-5 years of experience with individuals with developmental disabilities, as part of an ABA/ESDM program
  • University or Graduate degree completed or in progress
  • Completion of BCBA or BCaBA certification or ESDM certification or in progress
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship skills 
  • Excellent behavior analytic/ESDM skills.
  • Sense of organization and priorities 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft word and Excel an asset
  • Bilingualism (French and English) is an asset
  • Holds a drivers license and has access to a vehicle an asset
  • Shows strong analytical skills, is receptive to feedback from supervisor· and able to implement suggestions
