About the Gold Centre
The Gold Centre, subsidized by the Miriam Foundation, is a leading provider of personalized services for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and Intellectual Disabilities (ID), at all stages of life.
Its comprehensive clinical, educational, and recreational programs are grounded in evidence-based practices and a person-centered approach. The Centre also plays a pivotal role for research, professional training, and knowledge transfer.
Our Programs and Services
Specialized Intervention Services
Personalized, evidence-based therapies for individuals of all ages, delivered either at the Centre or in community settings (home, daycare, school). Models include Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), the Early Start Denver Model (ESDM), and Verbal Behavior (VB).
Parental Coaching (P-ESDM)
A parent-mediated intervention using the Early Start Denver Model, designed for families with young children experiencing developmental delays. This approach empowers caregivers to implement effective strategies during daily routines and play to support communication, social engagement, and joint attention.
Creative Arts
Individual and group sessions in visual arts, music, drama, and dance that encourage personal expression, social engagement, and emotional growth.
Adult Leisure Program
A diverse selection of over 20 clubs and social activities offered to various age groups, encouraging autonomy, friendship, and enhanced quality of life.
EmploymentWorks®
A pre-employment program that helps neurodiverse adults build job readiness skills through structured learning, hands-on training and workplace exposure. The program also guides employers in building inclusive hiring practices.
Training and Education
Workshops and resources for families, educators, and professionals, focusing on behavioral strategies and best practices.
Research and Collaboration
Active participation in clinical research and cross-sector partnerships to develop and evaluate new intervention models.
