Research

At the Miriam Foundation, research is at the heart of our mission. We believe that innovation and the continuous improvement of services stem from a deep understanding of the needs of individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other neurodevelopmental challenges.

Applied Research for Concrete Services

Our approach is based on evaluative research, which allows us to analyze, adapt, and optimize our service models. In collaboration with clinicians, practitioners, and researchers, we develop solutions grounded in best practices and evidence-based data.

Toward Greater Accessibility

The goal of our work is clear: to validate and refine our models so they can be scaled and integrated into the public health and social services network. In doing so, we help make specialized services more accessible to families in Quebec and beyond.

Supporting the Advancement of Knowledge

In addition to evaluating our own initiatives, the Miriam Foundation supports research that advances scientific understanding of autism and neurodevelopmental challenges. We collaborate with academic institutions and research centers to generate lasting impact on both clinical practices and public policy.

Our Commitment

  • Identifying emerging needs and service gaps
  • Designing and testing innovative intervention models
  • Measuring the effectiveness and impact of our services on individuals and families
  • Promoting the large-scale dissemination and implementation of best practices

Through this approach, the Miriam Foundation acts as a driver of innovation to improve the quality of life of individuals affected by autism and other neurodevelopmental challenges.
