Advanced ESDM Workshop – Winter 2026

Miriam is proud to offer a new professional development opportunity this winter — the Advanced Early Start Denver Model (ESDM) Workshop, an evidence-based, play-based intervention model for young children (12–60 months) diagnosed with or showing signs of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Designed for educators, therapists, clinicians, parents, and caregivers, these workshops are led by certified ESDM therapist and trainer Mary McKenna of Early Start Canada and delivered in English.  A certificate of participation will be issued by the MIND Institute upon completion of each workshop. 

 

Advanced ESDM Workshop

This advanced workshop is designed for professionals who have completed the introductory ESDM course and are working directly with young children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). Focused on high-fidelity implementation, the course offers hands-on training, video-based analysis, and individualized coaching from a certified ESDM trainer. Participants will work with a child from their own caseload and engage in peer collaboration to strengthen their clinical application of the model.

Participants will:
• Apply ESDM strategies with fidelity in a clinical or educational setting
• Receive targeted feedback on video submissions from their caseload
• Refine intervention planning through guided reflection and coaching
• Engage in collaborative problem-solving and peer discussion

Open to licensed professionals meeting eligibility criteria. 

Dates: January 2026
Time: 12:00 PM – 3:30 PM EDT (including break)
Duration: 6 weekly sessions
Format: six online sessions – 3 to 5 participants
Language(s): English
Note: A minimum of 3 participants per language group is required for the workshop to proceed.
Prerequisites: Introductory course certificate, hold a recognized professional degree, and work regularly with children (12–60 months) diagnosed with ASD.
Cost: $2,500 CAD
*$500 deposit upon registration; $2,000 balance due six weeks before the start date
