Creative and Therapeutic Arts Program
Creative arts are widely accepted as promoting emotional, cognitive, and physical well-being. It enables individuals to share aspects of their lives that words alone may be unable to capture and provide individuals who struggle to communicate verbally with an alternative means of communication. It provides the opportunity to express emotions and experiences through artistic means.
The Creative and Therapeutic Arts Program is designed for children ages 3 and up, adolescents and adults with mild to moderate ASD and Neurodevelopmental Disorders.
Registration is now open. Join us for a season full of creativity in all its forms! Please visit the Creative Arts webpage for more information.
Azrieli Adult Leisure Program
Leisure activities are a critical dimension of the quality of life for all people, particularly for individuals with a neurodevelopmental disorder – an often-forgotten segment of the population. These activities are a vehicle through which they have fun, develop friendships, socialize in a peer group, and develop skills and competencies.
Miriam Foundation launched the Azrieli Adult Leisure Program in the fall of 2011 and has been providing leisure activities on evenings and weekends ever since. The emphasis on group activities allows participants to enjoy their leisure time, create and nurture friendships, and maintain and enhance their social language and motor skills.
Group activities are offered to individuals who live in the community in order to encourage and develop social interactions, the use of acquired personal and interpersonal skills and interdependence.
Registration for the Winter-Spring 2025 session will be from January 6-10, 2025. Please visit the Azrieli Adult Leisure Program webpage for more information.
