The Miriam Foundation is proud to announce an exciting new partnership with the National Centre for Dance Therapy of Les Grands Ballets Canadiens, bringing a professionally led adaptive dance program to its Creative Arts Summer Camp 2025, taking place from July 7 to August 22, 2025.

As part of this collaboration, campers will enjoy a weekly dance class designed to be inclusive, expressive, and tailored to the unique abilities and needs of each participant. Sessions will take place in the dance studio of the Miriam Foundation’s Creative and Therapeutic Arts Centre, located in Montreal.

Leading these sessions will be Andrea Palmer, an experienced and dedicated instructor in adapted dance affiliated with Les Grands Ballets Canadiens. Andrea brings a wealth of knowledge in movement education and a passion for fostering creativity and confidence through dance. Read her full biography here.

“We strongly believe that everyone can dance and that dance has the potential to bring out the best in each of us,” shared Les Grands Ballets. “Our adaptive dance program is rooted in compassion, inclusion, and personalization—helping each participant thrive at their own pace.”

This partnership exemplifies both organizations’ shared commitment to inclusion, empowerment, and wellness through the arts. Since the opening of the Creative and Therapeutic Arts Centre in 2022, the Miriam Foundation has prioritized multidisciplinary programs that support personal development and emotional well-being for individuals with autism spectrum disorder and intellectual disabilities.

“We are very thankful for Les Grands Ballets’ willingness to share their expertise in adapted dance,” said Emma Veteau, Clinical Director of the Gold Learning & Research Centre. “This partnership allows us to enhance the camp experience with meaningful, therapeutic programming. We continue to see the powerful impact of the arts on our clients’ quality of life—offering an outlet for creativity, social connection, and emotional expression.”
