The Miriam Foundation raises nearly $200,000 during its annual Art Auction for Autism
—
The Miriam Foundation extends its heartfelt gratitude to the generous donors, artists, and guests who helped raise nearly $200,000 during the 12th edition of its Art Auction for Autism, held on November 6 at the prestigious Maison Alcan in Montreal. With the Beat FM's Lee Haberkorn as the auctioneer, the event brought together 180 participants united in their commitment to improving the lives of people with autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID).
This evening plays a key role in the Miriam Foundation’s annual fundraising efforts, providing essential funds that allow the Miriam Foundation to continue to financially support critical services for individuals with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID), at all stages of life.
This year’s edition featured works generously donated by 23 professional artists and 8 clients from Miriam’s Creative and Therapeutic Arts Program.
For over 50 years, the Miriam Foundation helped fund programs and services that address the diverse needs and individual challenges of people with ASD and ID, and their families. Every day, the Foundation offers hope to parents, resources for caregivers, a community to belong to, and a chance for everyone to thrive.
Miriam Foundation’s President & CEO, Warren Greenstone, is extremely proud of the success of the evening. “This 12th edition was one of our most successful to date. The ongoing generosity of our community moves us deeply. We are profoundly thankful to our sponsors, participants, and artists, many of whom support this event every year. The funds raised this evening will have a significant impact on the lives of our clients and their families, as well as those families still waiting for services.”
The Miriam Foundation would like to thank the co-chairs of the Art Auction Committee who were instrumental in making this evening a success, as well as its valued sponsors, Franki & Peter Yanofsky, Linda Shaw & Frank Motter, Vivian & Howard Stotland, Susan & Richard Hart, Pinchevsky Family Foundation, Josephson Family, Baker Tilly Montréal, Vortex Solution, Milan & Pearl Bratin, Gloria Wilner, and Andrea & Alex Bernstein, whose generosity greatly contributed to the success of this evening.
