Disney Animation Immersive will offer Montrealers sensorially adapted sessions

Disney's world of magic and storytelling isn't just a distant dream, especially for families facing special challenges.

Immersive Disney Animation

Miriam is proud to partner with Disney Animation Immersive to deliver special cinematic moments. We invite you to experience a unique adventure with your family, adapted to people living with a neurodevelopmental disorder, such as autism spectrum (ASD) and intellectual disabilities (ID).

Cinema adapted to the sensory needs of autistic people

If you've ever tried to take your child into a lively environment and found it difficult, these movie sessions are for you. Imagine a space where sensory needs are considered, making the experience pleasant and accessible.

During these sessions, several adjustments are made to ensure everyone's comfort:

  • Reduced sound volume: For those who are sensitive to noise, this is a godsend.
  • Reduced capacity: fewer people, less stress.
  • Comfortable lighting: the gallery remains lit to avoid any feeling of discomfort.
  • Sensitivity warnings: Being informed in advance about the content is reassuring.
  • Relaxation areas: necessary breaks in a quiet space, outside the gallery.

Watch Disney movies again

Disney Animation Immersive offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the worlds of iconic films. Imagine yourself in the heart of legendary scenes from “Encanto”, “The Lion King”, “Zootopia”, “Aladdin”, and many others. It’s an exploration of the art and legacy of Disney Studios, celebrating the music, artistry and animation that have impacted generations.

Screening sessions in English will take place on January 28 and April 28 at 9:45 a.m., February 25 at 4:00 p.m. and March 24 at 11:00 a.m. There will also be sessions in French on January 14, February 11, and March 10 at 9:45 a.m. and April 14 at 11:00 a.m. To attend, it is necessary to purchase tickets, but a great initiative has been taken: for each child with special needs, the accompanying adult benefits from free access. The sessions will take place at Arsenal Contemporary Art Montreal.
