Discover the impact of the Miriam Foundation during the Gold Centre’s first open house event

As part of Autism Awareness Month and the Miriam Foundation's 50th anniversary celebrations, the management of the organization invites the public to an Open House event at the Gold Centre, on April 17th. Participants will get the chance to immerse themselves in the facility, which was inaugurated in 2021, and discover the services and programs available. This activity is a unique opportunity to grasp the positive impact made on the lives of people with neurodevelopmental disorders, such as autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and intellectual disability (ID).

Holding this open house is a unique opportunity to raise community awareness of our organization's mission and the importance of offering support to people with ASD and ID. We hope that this day will help spread the word about our expertise and make inclusion a priority”, announced Warren Greenstone, President and CEO of the Foundation.

Supported by the Foundation, the Gold Centre is a leader in providing comprehensive, personalized services to people of all ages with ASD or ID, as well as to their families and loved ones. Employing nearly 70 professionals, the organization serves the needs of close to 400 clients annually. The Centre also supports practitioners and education specialists, including educators, teachers and all the experts who respond to the complex needs of this clientele.

The Miriam Foundation is dedicated to raising funds for the creation and maintenance of innovative clinical, artistic and educational intervention programs offered at the Gold Centre and through partnerships. The Miriam Foundation firmly believes that every individual has the right to a stimulating environment, family support, a social network, leisure activities and health care adapted to his or her specific needs. Ultimately, the goal is to ensure that each person who comes to the Gold Centre develops and achieves his or her full potential.
